A Note From Our Founder

Hi, I’m Serena, founder of Thyme Plus+.

I saw a need for a safer kind of cleaner—something I could use on my counters and around food without worrying about leaving behind harsh chemicals or breathing them in. As a mom, I wanted a product that I could feel comfortable using again and again throughout my home.

In 2018, my husband and I started a manufacturing business where we began working with nanotechnology. I knew I wanted to take that technology and use it to create a product of my own. That idea became Thyme Plus+.

We apply nanotechnology to potent botanical extracts to create a powerful, multipurpose cleaner made with only a few carefully selected, food-grade ingredients. Thyme Plus+ has been independently lab-tested against household germs and bacteria. It also neutralizes odors, cleans a wide variety of surfaces, and helps deter ants and other household bugs.

To me, it really is an all-around magic cleaner. It works, smells fresh, and can be used throughout your home without filling the air with harsh chemical fumes. I also love that it’s made to be used around the everyday spaces we share with our food, children, and pets.

I grew up in Goleta, and all of our products are locally made at our family-owned manufacturing facility in Goleta, California. We’re a small, locally owned business, and we truly care about every product that leaves our facility.

Thyme Plus+ was created because we saw a demand in the market for safe, non-toxic plant-based cleaning solutions. Thyme Plus+ merges Mother Nature's plant power with Nanotechnology, which is a cutting-edge technology to deliver sensitive yet highly bioactive molecules.  We combined techniques big pharma uses applied to garden extracts. We use nanotechnology to break down the oil particles to a small enough size that they are miscible in water and don't separate (float to the top). The oil stays in perfect suspension in the the water so no separation occurs.

Thyme Plus+ cleaning products contain 0.07% Thymol, which is an EPA- recognized and approved effective antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-mold agent. The EPA classifies Thymol (at the levels used in our products) to have a low toxicity rating and it is not aware of any adverse effects to humans or the environment when used as directed on the packaging label.  Every batch of herbal extracted products may vary seasonally and per crop.  We lab test our products for purity and active Thymol concentration, so each batch is standardized with an effective formulation of Thymol.  Have peace of mind that every bottle has the right amount of Thymol inside.
